6085 is designed for easy use, emphasising a modern design with up-to-date technology. It is a quad band phone, working mostly in every part of the world. The simple uncluttered menu structure of the phone is easy to navigate. It has a clear keypad layout, and the elegancy of the phone is brought out by the black soft touch paint detailing, with chrome accents. It is also available in colour choices, including sand gold, royal pink, and seagull silver. The phone features highly legible, large colour display screen, having 262,000 colours, and 4x digital zoom. With a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, the display on the cover has a blue light indication of the caller identification, and it displays the battery strength and the time as well. This clamshell GSM phone for the mass market follows in the footsteps of the 6102i and 6103. Improvements include a memory card slot, music player, stereo Bluetooth, internal antenna, lighter weight, quad-band roaming, and Flash Lite 2.0. Other features include a camera with video capture and a stereo FM radio.Read full review
Really like the phone. The display and camera could be better but if you are looking for a phone to use as a phone then try this one. Volume control really cranks up the sounds, I can even talk in places where I could not before with other phones. Great display and easy to see and read. Easy to use, simple systems, almost an idiot phone.
My husband had a phone like this for three years and wore the buttons out. He tried to use a new phone but couldn't get used to it. I managed to find this replacement for him and he is over the moon with it. It is a straight forward phone with nothing fancy and the camera isn't half bad either.
I have owned the best Nokia for my needs for the last two years but sadly the Nokia 6101 was not launched with Bluetooth. It's younger brother has now surpassed expectation. The 6101 had a screen of adequate proportion, and an exterior mini display screen also in colour, large keys, classy backlit keyboard, reassuringly simple menu and a quality camera For equal style & sophistication to the 6101, the 6085 is the answer. Not only does it have Bluetooth for easy hands-free communication and a large colour screen for pics and texting, but it has additional memory on MiniSD. The only critisism that could be made, and only in comparison, is that the external mini screen is not in colour but blue LED only - a small sacrifice for such a beautifully crafted piece of hand-held technology. Simply Stylish.Read full review
I like the 6085 very much, the keypad is a delight, very positive in use & the menu is very logical. The one thing that could be improved is the external display as it's difficult to read when in standby mode. The radio works well although Nokia could have provided stereo earphones instead of a single one. Great bargain price, decently featured phone. Nokia quality all the way. Great signal, strong speakers & mic, all the 'everyday' features most users require. Bluetooth works flawlessly. Memory is small at 5MB (not the listed 4MB), but is easily expanded with a 2GB mini SD card. Apart from those minor criticisms a first class phone & good to look at. Tough little phone that is serving me well. :-) Recommended.
